Being new to the area, I was referred to Rural to continue my mental health treatment I had been receiving before I moved. Before I even scheduled my first appointment, I asked if they prescribed the medications I have been on so I could minimize my lapse in treatment. I was told they did. Do not recommend to anyone seeking any type of mental health services for any age group, let alone any drug court or probation/parole testing services. I've watched people from all backgrounds seek services and be disregarded due to negligence and inadequate staffing. Blatant disregard for hippa polices and confidentiality. Management makes snide remarks in regard to client living situations--not acceptable. Judging people who are seeking help big or small is completely unprofessional. Do not waste your time trying to get mental health services this place is useless. I called in October because I needed an adjustment to my meds. It’s now December and all they’ve done is tell me I’m an alcoholic even though I drink MAYBE once a week if any. They also refused to allow me to see a psychiatrist for meds unless I did the 12 step program. No one should be treated like this when they are trying to get help.
