Running Rooster is a locally owned family run restaurant specializing in gourmet burgers, sandwiches, and big tasty salads. We're most proud of our burgers which get consistent rave reviews. Our burgers are cooked to order on a flame barbecue right in our parking lot for everyone to see (and smell!) If you don't want beef, we have grilled chicken breast, salmon, and grilled giant portabella mushroom caps marinated in garlic and olive oil. This was our first time here and we enjoyed it. I had the spicy chicken sandwich which was as advertised. It was crunchy outside, moist inside and the spice snuck up on me. My husband had the El Jefe burger. He said it was really good. We used to buy grass fed beef from a ranch near Hollister and he thinks this beef was from the same place. It was a substantial burger.
Large menu with many good options. Their signature rotisserie chicken was a bland for us

WOW!! I’m so disappointed :( I’ve been wanting to come here for years, and after one try I will NEVER come here again. So I ordered the cowboy burger medium rare with onion rings and my boyfriend got the farmhouse burger well done with garlic fries. Mine came out well done and his was medium rare… whatever they must have just mixed them up when putting them on the burgers. But his to go container was cover in oil from the fries. This is an awesome place for brunch! Bottomless mimosas with a whole menu of juices. The service is also great! I wholly recommend this restaurant!
