Running Rooster is a locally owned family run restaurant specializing in gourmet burgers, sandwiches, and big tasty salads. We're most proud of our burgers which get consistent rave reviews. Our burgers are cooked to order on a flame barbecue right in our parking lot for everyone to see (and smell!) Very good pizza , excellent service, good prices, adequate parking, spacious dining areas.
Awesome restaurant! We had dinner here twice while we were in Hollister. The food and service were that good! The first night my husband ordered the shrimp and grits (we were skeptical as southerners about ordering this in CA) which was fantastic. I had a wood fired pizza which was delicious. Korean ribs are money!! Very good. Fig bacon pizza was good but way too much arugula on top. Looked like a salad threw up! Ha. Service at the bar was slower than it should have been for how slow it was on a wed night. Beer selection is great! Best food I’ve had in Hollister so far. I will come back. Menu is very intriguing!!
