I cancelled my service with Rumpke before the next billing cycle and they still took the payment out. It has been now two months of frustration with them as they claim they could not find the toter to pick up and have refused to refund my money. The toter was gone on July 1 but they claim they were there twice and could not find it. I believe this is just a convenient excuse for them to not refund my money.

I signed up for residential service at the end of May 2026. Confirmed over the phone my payment and enrollment went through. However, my trash was never picked up on the scheduled date they provided. Over the next week, I called customer service four separate times. Each time, I was assured a truck would be out that day or the next. Spoiler alert: nobody ever showed up. We had an account with Rumpke and an account with a separate service provider. Rumpke came in and bought all of the local companies included the other company we had service with. We immediately began having billing issues where we were being billed double or incorrectly. I called multiple times and was told repeatedly that they knew what the issue was and had corrected it. Had our pickup day changed on us, then only picked up once in 3 weeks after my repeated calls and messaging with corporate. Changed service providers and have even received my refund from them. Now, my pickup day through the new provider is on Tuesday, like what rumpke tried to change us to, and EVERY WEEK they are stopping and "emptying" our already empty can.
