Great spot. The people there were all so nice and full of information. Recommended going on an off season day. We went summer time on a Saturday and didn’t get to see the springs we’d hoped for. So may tubers and we rented kayaks. Apparently paddle boards are the way to go these days! So many cool set ups along the river. Beautiful River! Will be back!
You will absolutely get your money’s worth and then some paddling with Rum 138. The entire staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the Santa Fe river and its associated springs. The staff isn’t just there to drop you in the river and forget about you, they want to make sure you love and appreciate the beauty in the Florida nature as much as they do. The route you paddle is a 5 mile paddle down-river, and there are plenty of beautiful springs to stop and swim at along the way.
The easiest way to get from point A to B and back again. The folks at Rum 138 go above and beyond to make your trip down the river and amazing one. I cannot recommend their shuttle service enough. As we checked in our kayaks were unloaded from our trailer to theirs, quickly got our vehicle dropped at the end and back to the launch area of our choosing.
