Corporate BBQ – I used to love this place. But, it has now officially become corporate BBQ. Over the years the extra moist brisket has become less "moist" and less "dirty" in order to occomdate the homogenized tastes of an expanding empire that now covers from at least San Antonio to Tyler. You used to be able to compensate for this by telling the cashier you wanted "extra, extra juicy" and/or "extra dirty," etc. However, I showed up tonight and the young, spry, eager cashier responded to my request for "extra, extra juicy &... read more

Professional, Consistent, and High-Quality – I use Rudy's for Group Meals at least 1-2X/week. I continue to use them because they are consistently on time, everything is complete and well-packaged, and the food is always high-quality. The staff is friendly and pro-active in their teamwork, ensuring their teammates are on the way. Thank you Rudy's!

Solid, fast food, Que – I like Rudy's, it isn't the greatest, but it is what it is. A fast food barbecue place. Before Rudy's, I can't really remember where I used to go and get tasty quick, Que. Everything there is good, but the "eckrich style" sausage is just that. You can't really hold it against them though, how else do they have the time to make their own sausage.

Telling it like it is. – Honestly....... Texas born and raised, I have enjoy many a bar-b-q. This was take home and we ate within 25 minutes after leaving the "store". Worst I have ever eaten; just being honest. The brisket was dry and soaked in black pepper. The sausage was undercooked. I wanted to go back and tell them, but, it was so frustrating and disappointing. Just did not want to deal with it. Won't go back.

rudis (Latin - unlearned, unenlightened) – I wont partonize here after how i witnessed the immature and rude counter staff, and their supervisor, berate an elderly couple (who were in the right) for so long that the woman became embarrassed and had to leave the counter. then they overcharged me, the next person in line. food is variable, sometimes dry, but the staff is reliably aggressive and unfriendly.

The basics! – I have been a fan of Rudy's in Austin since the early 90's and was very excited to introduce it to my children when the Spring location opened. My son and I stopped in on March 13th at 5:30 after a track meet and ordered to go. Store was very busy which usually means that any food left over from lunch has been burned through or the shift change would have replenished with new. My number one pet peeves of all .......are bad baked potatoes. If someone is going to take on the daunting task of having them on the me... read more

Good - Fun Experience – Ate at Rudy'sfor the first time today. Friendly service for a start and quick. They move you thru fast. Typical barbeque fare and the food was good but not great. What was fun was how you can order your , meats a-la-carte and by the 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, etc...pound. As much or as little as you like. Potato salad and other sides are a-la-carte as well so you just order what you like and don't get what you don't want. They give you your food in a flate carry tray that reminded me of the old coke bottle trays ... read more

Great Bar-B-Q!!! – Rudy's has the best barbeque in town! Atmosphere is casual and kid friendly. Line is a little long but worth the wait. The lean brisket sandwich is the best I've had! Prices are resonalble and quantity is plenty!

Texas-wide chain of big red barns brings country store charm and smoky barbecue to Spring. – In Short Inside the Hill Country-styled barbecue shack, diners can run in and grab a quick bite at the convenience store or take a seat at one of the picnic tables inside or out after placing their order at the counter. The menu consists of breakfast tacos in the mornings and oak-smoked barbecue including brisket, turkey breast, chopped beef, chicken, pork and baby back ribs, and house-made sausage. Standout sides include the creamed... read more
