Pretty rude, no water offered and we had to beg for dirty paper menus.

Sat, 3-8-14 8:10pm Just ordered two Ruby Burgers with cheese to go. Got home to eat them and no cheese, dry burger, one thin piece of tasteless tomato. Overall dry and tasteless... Had Sweet potato fries (good), and shake (good) all for $24! 2 burgers, one order of fries, one small looking shake for $24!! Wow. No wonder there wasn't a line to get in, like there used to be. Sad.

great American burger joint, excellent shakes. hard to top the location at the end of Balboa Pier with fantastic ocean and sunset views. for gluten-free folks, Ruby's offers the option of substituting an Udi's bun on any of their burgers.
This was the worst burger of my life! I didn't eat half of it. It was soaked in so much grease, there wasn't even a bun! The cherry coke was flat and the fries was cold. It was a horrible place to eat.
Great food, wonderful 50's decor, friendly and fast service...can't be beat.
