The staff wete wonderful and great at the hospitality regarding concierge perks we had no idea about! Please do not pay for parking until you check in with the hotel staff- they ended up helping us getting our money refunded When we parked in a more expensive parking lot, finding out that we actually only were to pay five dollars for the whole night because we were guests with them... My husband and I have been staying at this motel since before it was renamed to Steamplant: We have also stayed in all of the Davenport locations and we prefer this motel over all of them.. They deserve more than 3 stars! The rooms are classy and fun, we love the location (especially watching the trains), they play movies on the wall of the parking lot at night which is SO COOL! I stayed here recently with my boyfriend and honestly it was not what I expected at all. The room itself was okay, but barely passes for a 3 star hotel. The property was questionable. When we arrived there was a very noticable homeless crowd hanging out under the bridge right by the hotel. On top of that, a train goes by often but luckily did not keep us awake.
