Waiter stuck his bare hand in a freshly prepared large lettuce bowl intended for salad bar, picked out some lettuce and stuck it in his mouth. Then, left to serve food without washing hands. I witnessed it, and told him that was "tacky." He just grinned, said "thanks", and went on crunching his lettuce. Mgr. said he's one of the best employees. So, what else does the crew do in the kitchen when we usually can't see them??
