I saw this therapist in 2014. I have dealt with anxiety and depression my whole life and needed to feel safe with the person I opened up to. This woman did not know what she was doing. She never knew how to respond when I talked about my trauma, she was constantly taking medicine during our sessions, always seemed out of it, and stood me up. I showed up for our scheduled session and her office was locked. I called her numerous times and she never responded. The next week she FINALLY called me back and asked when I was going ... read more
I saw Ruby 4 or 5 years ago and benefited from counseling with her. I liked that she usually seemed to know the right thing to say and when she didn't know what to say or do she was honest about it. She didn't pretend to know everything and wanted me to come up with answers for myself, as much as I could. If I needed a counselor again i would go to her.
i had lots of therapists who never helped me and told me that i was too much for them to deal with. when i saw Ruby from 2013-2015 she was the first one who didn't judge me or fire me. my relationships got a lot better because of seeing her and so did my depression and anxiety. i don't know what happened with that one reviewer but that doesn't sound like the therapist i saw. i would definitely recommend her to other people.
I saw Ruby for several years and never worked with a therapist who understand trauma and queer issues as well as she did. I felt like she really got me and I was able to grow a lot when working with her. She was always really prompt when I needed to reach her between sessions. I liked that she had a good sense of humor and was really professional too. I've recommended her to several of my friends.
I’ve known, researched and seen MANY professionals in the Columbus area who have claimed to have an understanding or “specialize” in PTSD & trauma. Ruby absolutely has an intimate understanding and knowledge on the MANY aspects of trauma and how it can affect an individual. I would, and continue to, recommend her to any individual seeking a safe therapeutic relationship to work through difficult events/feelings. She has a good balance of head & heart which I think is crucial for a truly successful, healthy, and ultimately he... read more
