The place is nice but not very handicap friendly. I thought my mom was going to die before I got her seated. Wish the monitors were clearer. They appear to be old and need to be updated. Sound was great and getting people in and out was very organized.
We were at the Youkey Theatre on Sun. DEC 11 for the concert of Vic Larsen. First he had Lady Z to sing but didnt show up til second half. Then a woman in a wheelchair had a dog. Every time we all clapped the dog barked Loud. This happened last yr by same people cant they put the dog in the hall? It was very disturbing! The music was good. We will try it one more time next month if it happens again we will not go again.
Parking was fast and easy. It was filthy, though. They were hosting an all day event, but it was apparent they didn't do any cleaning during the day. Trying to find a place to sit where your feet weren't dodging trash was difficult.
Everyone at the luncheon who worked at the center and the catering Co were awesome. The food was delicious.
My wife and I have attended a Kenny G concert and Cirque de Soliel show at the Youkey Theatre and found it to be a wonderful intimate venue to enjoy a performance. We also attended a Rodeo at the Arena and found it to be a good venue for a sports event.
We went for date night. I have never been to the Lakeland center, even though it is in my backyard. I don't have anything negative to say. I look forward to coming back for future shows!
