I grew up doing everything from science fairs to homecoming dances at the Lakeland Center. It's a beautiful facility, and I'm grateful Lakeland has is. I hadn't been to an event in years, so I don't know how things compare since the name change. HOWEVER - the parking charge was outrageous last night (I mean, I did buy a TICKET to the event and it's not like other people were there for other events 😒), and it was very hot inside Youkey Theater. Not to sure what was going on with the A.C.....was a little HOT inside the theater.
No A/C, no railings on the stairs to the mezzanine and balcony, absolutely no knee room in row KK. We were so uncomfortable it was hard to enjoy the very talented comedians on stage.
Went to two graduations over the past two days, and the entire staff did a great job. Also love the fact that they plan on doing more improvements to the facilities, and get top notch entertainment. We are all looking forward to watching the Lakeland Magic play at the complex! There also isn't a bad seat in the area as well. Oh and the best part, during the closing of the ceremonies, RP Funding paid for all of our closing costs.. ��
