We have stayed at "The Starr" many times and have always enjoyed our stays. This year was no different. Cary and Shelly are committed to each guest. We'll miss Ernie & Linda, but we also welcome Cary & Shelly. We enjoyed meeting them and our little visits during our week. Fishing was good and so was the water play. Thanks again.
Our family had a wonderful vacation and appreciated how welcoming Cary and Shelly were. The fresh flowers and homemade cookies in our cabin upon arrival were sweet. We couldn't have asked for a better week. Fun, clean, welcoming and a true "up north" MN lake vacation. �
We wish to thank Shelly and Cary for an amazing week. This was our first time here. It was so welcoming, and they are so personable. They took the time to engage with us at a personal level. New owners Shelly and Cary were warm and welcomed our entire family for a week of beautiful weather, bonfires, fishing, awesome star viewing (we saw the milky way from the dock!) swimming and canoeing. The cabins are super clean and well stocked with all the kitchen cooking equipment you need. Hiking trails are wonderful and have been improved. Good access boat trailer parking. We wish Shelly and Cary good luck this summer and hope to be back for another fun filled week in 2018!
Royal Starr is an incredible resort! My giant family (55-75 people!) has been staying there for the last 5 summers and they can not be beat. The cabins are spacious and have adorable decor. The beach is well kept and has a super fun volleyball court and a floating doc. There is a playground for the kids and a lot of space to run around. The owners are incredibly accommodating and made our stay one to remember.
Thank you Shelly and Cary for a great week. We had the time of our lives at Royal Starr and hope to return next summer!
Such a Great Place and very nice new owners. The Lake is full of fish and nature you will never be bored!
New owners are great. We rented entire resort for a wonderful week in northern Minnesota. Everything we needed they had ready. Fish were on and weather was perfect. We loved the donuts and coffe on Father's day. Highly recommend Royal Starr.
