Wonderful first visit and won't be our last. Great vendors. Bought so much we could barely carry it all out. Don't change a thing. Market is perfect!
Always a fun time looking over a huge variety of local products. Please note that some of the items may cost a little more, but these are small business people, not giant retail outlets. It is absolutely worth a few extra bucks for fresh ingredients plus you are helping indigenous Michigan farmers/craftsmen. Although not part of the market itself, the Royal Oak downtown offers a lot of lunch options after a long day of shopping!
I was disappointed to not find any organic produce.
My daughter had an amazing time! Also, PBS staff was very friendly!

I ate at the Market Cafe. Next time I know to shop the vendors for a variety of delicious gluten-free pastries and snacks to supplement the very good, inexpensive eggs-over-medium and hashed browns. Shopping turned up young turnips with greens, salad greens and spinach. Next time, I'll bring my freezer bag. I wouldn't want them to wilt on the way home in the warm weather.
