I want to be transparent that I have not personally received services at this salon. However, I was recently shown a video by a former employee that raises serious concerns about sanitation practices. The video appears to show previously used paraffin wax being collected, reheated, and reused on multiple customers. If this reflects what is currently happening at the salon, it is a significant hygiene concern. 3/22/26 - Updated review (changed from 5 stars to 1 star) I just visited Royal Nail Spa for the first time in several months. I needed a manicure and pedicure before a trip. I used to frequent the salon when I had gel nails and routinely saw Mimi, who does a great job (per my original review below). However, today was a really bad experience and I will never come back. I had 2 broken nails within 2 weeks of my first set clearly due to the tips not being glued on well. I was not happy there was a $20 charge to fix them and they kept pushing me to get a fill for $60. With as many nail shops out there, I don’t intend to come back since I paid $80 for the set that didn’t last. My tech Kristine great. I only would hope the ownership would do better for the hard working ladies there. We also heard someone talking down to the front checkout person so not a good look for Royal Nails.
I have gone to this place about 5 times. I have had good service the first three times. Two visits ago I had Tiffany give me a manicure. Not only was she rough with filing, she cut my nails too short despite my saying not to. I went back today and asked for anyone else and lo and behold Tiffany is now giving me a pedicure. She cut my big toe which I am now having to ice at home. My complaint isn’t about the place, rather Tiffany - way too rough.
