Had an absolutely lovely doctor here. Took time to explain everything to me and went above and beyond in their care.
THE UNACCEPTABLE Emergency waiting room is horrendous. Worst we’ve ever been to. Nowhere for children or people with intellectual disabilities to feel safe from the hoards of loud verbally abusive regular visitors. The men’s bathroom has graffiti all over the doors. Both nights I was there, the soap dispenser was empty. In a hospital! Hygiene? So under resourced that emergency beds didn’t even have pillows the day we were here. This is a photo of the men’s bathrooms. Really? In a major Australian hospital. If this is the hygiene standard, it’s pretty poor. Never seen graffiti in a hospital bathroom anywhere else in Australia. As for the service. Super slow. Hours and hours of waiting. More security than staff in emergency. Wait time is counted from the time you see a triage nurse. For us, this was over 1.5hours after we arrived. I was also told that discharge papers cannot be sent to interstate GPs. This is crazy. Wonderful staff all the way - from the reception, the triage nurse, to the emergency doctor. Very efficient process. The treatment was very effective by the doctor. Everyone was very welcoming and patient! The waiting room is busy but very clean and relatively quiet. Overall a very good experience and made the stressful situation a lot better for us! Well done to everyone at the Emergency department!!
I simply cannot fault the service, care and help that these frontline workers provide. ICU team went above and beyond. Their bedside manner is second to none..The head facial surgeons were amazing!! Thank you, for absolutely everything!!
