A particular RN nurse whom I won’t name, at the triage is an absolute monster of a woman. She dismissed my pain as “it’s just kidney stones” when it wasn’t. I had an immediate referral to go to emergency. I was so hesitant to go as I had a similar situation last year which left me waiting so long in the emergency that I started showing signs of sepsis which has caused damage to my kidney forever. How long has the wait in the ED been? As Rose says in Titanic "it's been 84 years. My wife presented to the ED with a GP referral as she has had severe abdominal pain for a month. Due to past horrendous experiences in RDH (think left on the ED waiting room floor with sepsis a year ago) it took an incredible amount of convincing just to get her to agree to attend.
