OMG, we stopped in this little town for an overnight stay and husband suggested we come here for dinner and watch the chook race. To be honest, I had absolutely NO interest in watching a chicken race, but I went along just to shut him up but I’m so glad I did because it was absolutely hilarious and well worth going! Bec ran the chook race and was so funny without being silly or ridiculous. She made the whole thing, and the chooks were pretty entertaining too! The most fun i have had in a long time and all for a great cause.
What a unique experience! Loved my time in Tambo. I visited, saw, read, took part in everything this town has to offer. Starting with Sculptures in the park, Tambo lake, Tambo Teddies, the Qantas crash site to the Cemetery. There is so much to see and do here, heritage is strong in this little town. Then i topped it off with a stay at the magnificent Carrangarra Hotel. What an experience are those Chicken Races!!!
