I have worked at several different facilities and never been at one like Cherry park. I have never worked somewhere that upper management has stepped out on the floor to help care staff when they need it and get their hands dirty. The executive director, maintenance and other staff help by getting garbage, making beds, laundry and taking residents to the dinning room or activities. My parents lived at Cherrywood for a couple of years before moving over to Royal Anne in order to utilize the Assisted Living program. The staff at Royal Anne was very good to my parents and we didn't have any issues. They worked well with Hospice when my father was dying. Unfortunately, though, my parents utilized the 'in-room' safe for storage of my mother's special rings that my father had given her over the years. This facility is were my father and several of my clients live. My father has lived here for 2.5 years and is now in hospice care. He has recently fallen several times. They are very attentive, kind, concerned, and keep my brother and I updated. We receive calls when he falls or there is any change in his daily routine. They work very well with hospice and family. My father can be very judgemental and critical, but he has nothing but good things to say about the entire team of care givers here. That is a very positive sign. ... read more
