I went in for a laminectomy decompression. He left a 5 cm fragment in my back, gave me a severe infection. I had bilateral foot drop severe nerve pain he was fired from my case and it was just a terrible ordeal. I am now handicapped, and I’m in a wheelchair. Still smiling be aware Of Roy he is incompetent

Dr Roy Hwang is one of the most knowledgeable and caring neurosurgeons that I know. He helped me when it was hard to get a 2nd opinion from other Drs. I got sepsis from osteomyelitis in my spine from surgery with a different Dr who refused to acknowledge that anything was wrong; thankfully, Dr Hwang was at HCA FL Lake Monroe Hospital. His surgical intervention was exactly what I needed. I’m getting better, thanks to him. Dr Hwang reviewed my MRIs and quickly developed a plan to correct my disc issues. He explained things very well and got me into surgery quickly. The surgery was a huge success and even 4 weeks out I am feeling better than I have for years. His staff is incredibly helpful and got my insurance approval quickly. His assistant Fran Brandt has done the follow ups both in the hospital and later in the office and is also incredible. I can't say enough great things about this office
