As an 72 y.o. patient, I had concerns about undergoing anesthesia during my medical procedure. Dr. Nelson made a point of coming into my 'bay' as I was preparing for surgery, introduced himself, explained what type of anesthesia he was going to use, explained the process, and explained what I could anticipate coming out of the surgery, including details about how my body might react to gas being blown into my abdomen, how it will be felt post-surgery, even where it goes!
