Worst experience ever — borderline fraud. RoundPoint Mortgage forced lender-placed insurance (LPI) on my account in October 2024, despite my having valid, continuous home insurance coverage — which I submitted multiple times. After several phone calls, reps admitted the LPI had been canceled months ago, yet the March 2025 escrow analysis now shows a $3,902 shortage attributed to that same insurance, adding $325/month to my mortgage autopay. I had to call four times just to make an advance 6 months payment. I was not told of forms to be filled out until the 3 rd call then when I emailed information from the forms it was not received after 4 business days. Still waiting day 6, uggh. This process sucks.

Round Point Mortgage loss draft department (insurance claims) is deplorable. They have been sitting on my insurance claim money, and since February, I have been attempting to get the balance since all repairs were incurred and completed. They conducted an inspection over a month ago, and with proof and photographs from their own people demonstrate repairs were complete, they are refusing to release the remaining money. A few months ago our home was damaged during a hurricane and we’re not able to live in it. Because of that we have to rent another house till the home is repaired. We finally received a deposit from the insurance company to start the repairs so we can get back into the house, but Round Point is unwilling to endorse the check so we can get our life back together.
