I've taken my daughter here since she was 3 weeks old (Shes turning 6 soon) and we've never had a poor experience. She goes here twice a year for a physical checkup. The receptionist, Miriam, is very nice and kind to us! Dr Barakat is very friendly as well! When she got her shots here, they were very understanding and helped distract her, hugged her, and sympathized with her. I absolutely love this place!
Many years ago I had vaccinations by this doctor as a 10 year old and had a seizure within a few minutes (still in the office) and had to take ambulance to the hospital. She tried to downplay the vaccine injury as “fainting” despite being on the floor flopping like a fish with my eyes rolled in the back of my head. I also came to find she never reported my vaccine injury… very negligent of her.
I'm there only for her staff. they are all very nice & treat friendly.
Doctor accepted newborn as a new family to care for and even made room in her schedule to see him as soon as possible despite fact that she was on vacation that week. The hospital nurse said she asked important questions for a good history about baby because baby delivered at a hospital the doctor does not round at. Conscientious regarding providing safe medical care for baby and breast feeding for baby.
My child told me, 'why did we come to this mean Dr. , she's rude'. And for a pediatric office, that says a lot. Long waits and you only see Dr. For 5 min, even that to just basically tell you to shut up and do as I say, don't ask questions. Doesn't educate or inform the parent in anyway, to show concern. She redirects you to another facility or school etc., without listening to your concerns and without getting to know the patient history. No 'bedside manner' whatsoever and very unprofessional.
