I received the shipment of foundry lead promptly. It exceeded my expectations for packaging and quality of product. After melting the total weight of product into ingots there was no waste what so ever. The total weight ordered melted down and measured exactly the weighed ordered. Thought I was screwed....needed zinc hardware to look aged for an antique piece and was stuck trying to get the look with paint. Luckily tripped upon this Rotometals ‘Patina Black Magic’ product and WOW... an instant smokey-black finish that transforms the metal to a rustic or satiny (steel wool rubbed) finish. Almost want to say it anodized the zinc (I think it worked on aluminum too- check with supplier on that) for a scratch proof (as compared to paint) patina.
