Do not work with them. We were clearly just a number and their customer service is a joke. They said the work would would be entirely covered by insurance after reviewing our policy, 2 months later we received a really rude phone call saying they were talking legal action out of the blue. When I called I told the operator that it wasn't an emergency, but I would like to have it taken care of as soon as possible. Tyler was here the next day, and had the back-up in my basement fixed in about an hour, so I can do laundry again. He was very polite and professional.

PLEASE BE AWARE!! DO NOT USE ROTO ROOTER!! THEY ARE SCAMMING HOMEOWNERS!! My son and his fiancé just purchased their first home on Thursday, they noticed the utility sink in the basement was backing up which seemed to look like brown paper towels or cardboard when they would flush the toilets on Saturday, we called Roto Rooter to come out because we assumed the lines were clogged from the material. I called Roto Rooter because they give free estimates and other companies charge you to come out for an estimate. I needed a pressure regulator valve replaced. The guy quoted me a price of $1,000 right off the bat. When I told him from what I read, that was double the cost of what it normally costs, he told me that labor was $500. Then he told me the part was $150 and that they typically quote on the higher side. So the total cost went down from $1,000 to $650 which still seemed high to me (just to replace a small part).... read more

Avoid Roto-Rooter Atlanta at all costs, or you will regret calling them as I did. Punitive and abusive pricing. There is a fair rate for emergency service but there is no link between the work done and the price charged. When we were all pleased that my issue ended up simpler than expected, they played “gotcha” with the quote I signed and were unwilling to treat me fairly. They quite obviously have no desire to earn a recurring customer. I wish that I had called anyone else.

Here is my experience. I have 8 rental properties and have used Waterworks and Rescue Rooter over the years,. I know what charges are fair and reasonable. I called Roto Rooter and scheduled them out and even had a $40 coupon. The technician set up and by the time I had brought the trash cans back from the curb, he was done. $304 for a 10 minute job. Thank goodness I had the $40 coupon or I would of paid $344. They should explain their fixed rate pricing for drain services when I scheduled the service and not when the technic... read more

As soon as I called, the technician was here within 15 minutes! Very happy with the service tech, Christian. He was a very friendly, mannerly, hard working young man. Had a very stubborn clog in bathroom tub and he tried everything until he was able to clear it.He even cleaned the bath tub before he left. Extremely satisfied with Christian and will always call Roto Rooter in the future.

Avoid at all costs if you like your money and want to hire people that respect your property. I was hesitant to call Roto-Rooter after seeing so many bad reviews online and should have heeded the warnings. My wife and I were having backup in our sewer drain line and had a moderate amount of sewerage water back up into one of our bathrooms which we cleaned up with some towels.
