About this business
The "Roseville Frozen Food Bank" was built in 1946 by Mr. Allen F. Newell and an unknown partner and was primarily a processing plant for home grown farm animals such as beef, hogs, lambs, etc. The store provided old fashioned smoking of hams, bacon, etc. utilizing a special room outside the back of the building. That building continued to serve as a smokehouse for custom orders until December, 2005 when it finally gave out. (see "What's New" (link)for information on our new smokehouse).

Trying this butcher for the first time. The selection was incredible. Can't wait to try!
Made an order on Wednesday. Was told it would be ready for pickup on Friday and would call me at noon. Didn’t receive a call, called them they said my order would be ready Saturday. Complained and they said I could pick it up Friday and would call me when it was ready. Never called me
We got great meat, and they can cut anything for you. They offered all the regular meats, 50/50 bacon/beef burgers, and aligator, elk, venison, and other meats. They can also process meat brought in by hunters, etc. A real old-fashioned butcher shop.
I drive an hour down from Nevada County to buy here. Nothing here competes with them. Best selection and price. You need it, they have it or likely can get it. Customer service is excellent and helpful, they absolutely know their stuff. After the last BBQ I had, my friends wanted to know where I got such good meat, now they make the drive too!
