Dr. Rosencrantz is what a doctor should be all about. Highly recommended!
My dad has seen this doctor for a few years. He says he never liked his bedside manner but thought he was the only local urologist. By far, most troubling is that last year after having a growth removed because it was uncomfortable he did not tell my parents (my mother attends all doctor visits) that cancer was found. One year later they learned from a pulmonologist that cancer had been found previously. This is an extremely rare cancer that needs a specialist. When my mother called to ask questions the nurse initially said ... read more
he has the bedside manner of a badger. he has given me misleading and conflicting info. he aggressively resents questions and has a soap-bubble ego (both inflated and fragile). If all you need is a flomax prescription, then he's ok. for anything else i strongly urge going elsewhere.
Dr. Rosencrantz treated me for prostate cancer & cured it as well as it can ever be cured. I was impressed with his professionalism & that of nurse Beverly. It is due to their skill & care that I am now living a normal life. I was always treated with courtesy & respect. However, if you try to argue with him, he is pretty sure he knows more about cancer than you do, which is almost certainly correct. He does not suffer fools gladly. But if you follow instructions & don't push back without a good reason (he will accept good re... read more
I took my dad to see Dr. Rosencrantz to several appointments. Dr. Rosencrantz and his nurse, Beverly, are rude. The only person in the office that is nice is the receptionist. Dr. Rosencrantz shook his finger in my face and treated my like a 2 year old on more than on occasion. I'm 62. I saw a man run out of the office, jump into his car and burn rubber getting out of the parking lot after telling everyone in the waiting room what a terrible place this was. 'Nuff said... :(
I don't think they make doctors like this anymore. Dr. Rosencrantz takes calls after hours, checked on me as a patient on holidays and weekends, and doesn't rush through appointments even though he is clearly busy. I've had two procedures with him and have no complaints. He's a no BS kind of guy - but I like that in a doctor.
He takes time to listen and has greatly improved my overall health by challenging me to be more healthy and following up with an office visit every six months. I originally saw him about a kidney stone 10 years ago and I'm happy to say I have avoided another one since.
Doctor Rosencrantz was both my doctor and surgeon. He and his nurse were great. My surgery went off without issue, and my recovery perfect. However, the front desk staff has a lot to be desired. I understand they're busy. So am I. But when you're in customer/patient services, you do not treat your customer with disrespect. You do not chide or lecture them for changing or canceling appointments.
He is not up to date on more current treatments. Because of him waiting and wanting to try drugs that should of never been considered with my husbands current and other medical condition. My husband had his catheter in for almost 4 months. One visit to new dr. scope down penis, blockage visible, surgery 6 days later. All if fine. Dr Rosencrantz needs to retire. Always get a 2nd opinion and remember you don't have to do what he says, even when he is yelling and wagging his finger in your face
