*** BUYER BEWARE *** Do not get scammed by this place. The Rosemont Inn is crusty, dusty, and musty. Do not be fooled by the slick website (well done). The neighborhood is sketchy, the facade junky and rundown. The interior doesn’t smell right, and feels and looks dirty. As for my room, the bed was small and lumpy. I lifted the dark shades to try and shed some light on the situation, and found filthy window glass and dirty, decrepit window frames. Absolutely the best travel decision you're going to make is staying at the Rosemont Inn. You will not be disappointed with their level of time attention and dedication to making sure your stay is top notch. Also buy their signature mugs.
Classic Victorian nestled just minutes from downtown Utica, this charming home has been carefully restored and maintained by two wonderful owners. My second eldest son and I stayed here after touring Pratt Munson on a blustery winter night. This was a great place to stay, at an incredibly reasonable price. It's a big beautiful old house, and the rooms have been renovated and updated extensively without losing that old-house charm. Breakfast was delicious and filling, in a nice dining room with place settings, background music, and a gas fireplace. We enjoyed the selection of teas and coffee that were available. We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary last weekend at the Rosemont Inn Bed & Breakfast in Utica. We really enjoyed time away from the kids, the beautiful "Othello" room, and the delicious homemade breakfast at the inn. Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice relaxing place to stay. Rita, the innkeeper, gave us a tour of the beautiful historic inn after breakfast (loved the architecture & design), then we visited Munson-Williams Art Museum before heading home. Beautiful inn with lots to do nearby.
