Food is great as has been for years. The customer service has been lacking the last few times. The lady tonight is rude and can't smile for some reason. I hope they can find better help. She stood there and chatted with people at the counter as people waited at both counters. A lady came up but didn't help and went back to the back. The other lady said it was the manager. You would think a manager would see the waiting customers and offer to help.

I wanted to like it. It's so close to me, there's so much history in the restaurant, and I just love barbeque. But this was honestly the worst barbeque I have ever had. The sauce tasted like ketchup and chili powder, and I could hardly choke it down. How anyone could call this barbeque is beyond me. Danny Edward's is literally just a few blocks away. Save your taste buds and go to Danny's if you're in that area.
The ribs were coming apart, oily and they looked like they had been boiled first. the sauce was on the membrane side of the rack. I also tried the burnt ends. They were about the same as the ribs. As far as the ribs go, they were probably the worst ribs that I've ever spent money on. I will say the bathroom was clean and that was nice.

Their sauce is my favorite in KC, it just sucks that their food is hit or miss. The Ribs are a gamble, I just got my last short end there last night. Unacceptable old greasy beef jerky ribs probably cooked a day or two before they were sold. This has happened a handful of times now and I'm done wasting money on them.
