I got a bargain rate for the room. It was comparable to rooms that cost much more. My room was clean and fully stocked with towels, toiletries. The bed was comfortable. Good desk for working.
Hotel Calle Joaquin has exceptionally cleam rooms, easy access to the highway and downtown SLO. It is also a few minutes from Cal Poly. The pool and spa are tucked away in an enchanting lighted garden enclosure.
Close to the freeway so you will hear traffic although it isn't disturbing you much. The guy at check in was friendly enough and check in was quick and easy. There is no breakfast, although there are coffee makers, a fridge and microwave in the room. There is also a Mexican restaurant right next door from the lobby.
