I was seeing another Dr in the practice prior to seeing Dr. Puttu (Tuscaloosa) that was prescribing 2 medications with no problems til I saw Dr. Puttu. She had her mind made up that I was a drug addict before she even saw me. Well one weekend I went to the urgent care clinic that was owned by this clinic and received a pain shot. I had a referral from her to go but she fired me as a patient. Ended up being a blessing cause I got an amazing Dr after that. Dr. Puttu is great. She takes her time with me and gets me referrals when I need them. Her office is a nightmare to deal with though. The entire phone system is automated. You cannot speak to a real person when you call. Half the time the voice mailbox is full so good luck if you have a question or need a refill. Also, they do not update the patient portal with your lab results.
Dr. Puttu actually listen to my problems and took them seriously. Together WE derived a plan of care that was not only affordable for me, but convenient. We have regular follow up appointments to make sure everything is going as planned. I have followed her instructions carefully and my symptoms have been improving. She was able talk to me with simple terms and explained everything thoroughly, great bedside manners. Because of her demeanor and professionalism, I feel like I can trust her.
Dr. Puttu is very knowledgeable and always willing to listen to concerns. She is an excellent doctor!!!
So quick and non detailed as if my concerns did not matter. Didn’t have a chance to ask any questions about anything regarding my health or meds next thing I know she was rushing out of the room. Never mentioned what she was prescribing me or how to take medications. Would not be returning and would definately not recommend to others. Forced to see her because I couldn’t not figure out where the best doctor in town BOBO has relocated to.
