Dr. Starr has been a pleasure to work with. She made me feel extremely comfortable and prefaced any uncomfortable sensations with a quick explanation and requested consent before performing said actions. She also gave me a lot of great tips for how to take care of myself better. Small things that really add up. So glad she's my doctor.
A doctor doesn’t have to be friendly to be effective but it helps. She was very cold, rushed and dismissive. When I told her that the medicine I was taking to manage a serious condition wasn’t effective 2+ years later, she said I should just continue taking it and see her in 6 months. It was clear she didn't know or care to know about treating my condition, so instead she was dismissive and rude to me. I knew I had to keep looking for another doctor.
