Dr. Choi is incredibly knowledgeable. She answered every question I had with deliberate thought and care. She is direct but very comforting at the same time. She is an amazing surgeon. She understood how anxious I was about my diagnosis and stayed in constant contact with me. Her staff was just as direct and comforting. Highly recommend Dr. Choi!
I have visited Dr. Choi on a referral for breast cancer. There was a very suspicious lump in my breast and as a cancer survivor, it was an elevated risk. Dr. Choi is an excellent doctor with a great ability to keep me calm while being completely honest. She was very careful to assess my situation and after exploratory surgery, it was determined that I did not have cancer. I was extremely grateful for her wonderful care. She practices in Santa Barbara, CA and works with the highly esteemed Sansum Clinic.
Dr. Choi performed a partial mastectomy on me. I found her to be very intelligent, competent, and clear. She doesn't waste time, but is available when you need her. Her nurses provide the warm, fuzzy stuff; Dr. Choi provides the expertise. BTW, I had no pain at all following surgery.
Dr. Choi is not only a highly skilled surgeon, she is an incredible human being AND i trust her completely. She ,what is rarity lately,really care about patients. She is very direct without sugar coating and very professional.Thank you Dr Choi .
Stay away! A truly horrible doctor. Rude and insulting. She expressed disgust on seeing my body. The surgery did not go as planned--she had an second year student do it without telling me.
It was my lucky day to meet Dr Choi. You cannot ask for a more skilled doctor. She was exceptional in all my dealings with her. Before surgery, during and all the follow-up. She gave me the time I needed to ask questions. She explained everything thoroughly. I had total confidence in her. I told her I was sorry I had to meet her but I thank God every day that I did. I trust her completely.
Dr. Choi is not only a highly skilled surgeon, she is an incredible human being. It was my trust in her that made it possible for me to undergo a bilateral mastectomy because I knew I was getting the best of care. I appreciate her directness, honesty, and compassion. She doesn't mince words and I prefer a highly skilled surgeon over someone who is great at bedside manner. Altho in my experience, her bedside manner showed me just fine.
Dr Choi gets to the point and offers key information to your questions. She made sure I understood every step along the way of my office consultation plus made valuable recommendations. Ok, so she is not warm and fuzzy but I wasn’t there for that. I wanted answers and she was brilliant with fulfilling them. A No nonsense doctor with an apparent great education.
I have never met a doctor like this. Absolute worst bedside manner I have ever encountered. Very rude, and absolutely no compassion whatsoever. Never going back!
