While Roots has experienced some growing pains, I wouldn't go anywhere else for my care. My care providers are incredibly supportive and I feel more than encouraged to advocate for myself may an issue arise. Front staff have always been welcoming and helpful. Maybe it's just the vibes, but I find Roots to be a very comfortable and reassuring place for my appointments.
I like my provider and the care I get from an actual person. Everything else is terrible. Trying to schedule an appointment or cancel an appointment is next to impossible. I canceled my appointment and they’re trying to charge me $125 for a missed appointment. this is after they tried to charge me out of pocket for telehealth appointments when I’ve never had a telehealth appointments. Fantastic providers and nice, comfortable offices with great telehealth options. The major drawback is communication and scheduling with the office. It's impossible to get someone on the phone. My experience is that if you call, no one will answer. If you miss a callback and return the call immediately, no one will answer. It will start a sometimes days-long game of phone tag. If someone were actively in (or near) crisis, this communication could be dangerous.
Very let down after reading reviews of their poor billing issues and unfortunately I had suffered the same I had chosen a specific insurance plan that was accepted with this doctor. Apparently it was not so I was left with a staggering amount owed and a notification it would be charged to my card on file. I went in on Wednesday to discuss and their billing manager assured me they said they would double check with insurance and call me. They also let me know they would pause the scheduled auto payment while this is figured ou... read more
