Chelsey always makes my hair look amazing! I love changing up my hairstyle, and she’s incredible at helping me talk through ideas and figure out exactly what will look best. My hair always turns out even better than the pictures I show her. She’s super attentive, detail-oriented, and always gives me a perfect cut.

I had the worst experience I've ever had at a salon. I went to darken my hair with a money piece effect. I specifically asked for a chocolate color and showed reference photos. My stylist Chelsey literally wrote that she would darken my hair with a color "similar to my natural color" (my roots were my natural color, so we knew what color we were talking about), but she clearly didn't understand what I wanted. I arrived early for my appointment and Chelsey took me to the chair early. Before sitting down I was offered a beverage and they made me a lovely latte. My bang trim took all of 5 minutes and cost $11, which is very competitive pricing for the city of Calgary. The pricing was low but the quality did not lack. Chelsey and I discussed other services offered by root bar. I’ll definitely be booking a blow out or styling appointment for the upcoming holiday season! Thank you.
