RecommendedThe Roost Resort was the perfect place for our week in The Black Hills. We loved our cabin and the pristine resort grounds! We enjoyed our daily visit by the deer in our backyard. Shelah and Tom have put a ton of work and love into this beautiful place. Can't wait to come back!
A LOVELY spot to camp .. facilities were impeccable, the the grounds beautifully maintained, a beautiful view from our campsite - a meadow where the deer, geese & ducks were sighted daily .. and the hosts just sweet folks ..
We stayed at the Roost Resort from 8/1-8/4/19. Wish we could have stayed longer as this was a perfect campground for us. Even though it was during the Sturgis rally our campground was quiet, clean safe and owners that care. if you want a small well run campground with cabins or campsites that is close to everything in the Black Hills / Custer area don't miss the Roost Resort
We loved this park. $$ The owners Tom and Sheila are very nice. They have put a lot of time and love into making this a sweet little park. We have two small dogs and they loved playing in the grass. Part of the park has Big Trees. Each site is a generous size. We stayed with our 28ft bumper-pull and truck looking out over a meadow grassland where the white tailed deer came each morning and evening to graze. The bathhouse was cute and clean. Stayed here many times. Wonderful place. Clean, quite, friendly. Tom and Shelah are wonderful hosts.

Just returned from a week in the beautiful Black Hills. The Roost was an ideal place to set up base, centrally located. Cozy well equipped cabins with more than ample room for 3 adults and a child in the 2-bed cabin, quiet idyllic surroundings. Shelah and Tom were wonderful hosts, going out of their way to meet the needs even when it meant doing some last minute shuffling to arrange an extra nights stay on no notice when we weren’t able to leave as planned. Thanks for everything! We will be back!
Spent the last 9 nights here in the camping cabin with my husband and 2 daughters. It was absolutely perfect. Shower house was super clean. The view was amazing. And Shelah and Tom are very welcoming hosts. I recommend for everyone and all ages. Just a perfect little piece of heaven.
