We called to schedule an appointment with Rooftop chimney sweeps LLC on November 19th 2022. After verifying that they serviced our area (Zuni, Va), an appointment was set for December 7th 2022 with the tech arriving between 9:30 and 11:30. I took the day off from work to be home. I called Rooftop Chimney Sweeps on December 1. I wasn't able to get an appointment until January 6, 2021. I called on January 4 to confirm my appointment between 9-11 am. I also received emails to confirm my appointment. On the day of my appointment, I called to see if someone would be coming to inspect my chimney at my other property because I hadn't received a call or text from them. Rooftop installed a chimney liner and restored the crumbling chimney crown on a high roof. They took great care to protect the old unique tiles on my roof. They were punctual, pleasant and professional, and as far as I can tell, did very good work. Honestly, I had a bit of sticker shock at the estimate for the work. It seemed high but I wasn’t aware of the cost of such work. I would highly recommend Rooftop.
I waited to make this review after my gas fireplace insert installation was complete. I made an appointment for a chimney cleaning and inspection prior to ordering a gas insert. When the Rooftop staff arrived, they performed the inspection and stated that the chimney did not need to be cleaned and it was fine. Today, when the insert installers arrived they insisted that the chimney was filthy and needed to be cleaned. They graciously cleaned it for me.
