I have gone to this practice forever but lately even established patients are being booked weeks out. NOT ACCEPTABLE. Either stop being so greedy and taking on more patients than you can handle or staff up! They have another location and it just sits closed on some days. I had to pay extra to take my dog to ER vet in Kingston because I couldn’t get an appointment in a reasonable timeframe for her really bad diarrhea. She was losing weight and had a bad GI infection.
RecommendedTook new momma Saddie with 9 Doberman pups momma . Had exam make sure she was doing well. Pups had tail docked and dew claws removed . Beautiful job All came out so clean mommy didn’t even lick a lot . I refer anyone to go we’re so nice Doc even came out personally .thank you Rondout Valley vet . For being so nice and taking care of our fur babies
All is great until your pet gets sick. Called for an appointment for my pet who was exhibiting signs of an infection and was offered an appointment in 10 days. When I emphasized an infection I was then given an appointment in five days. Had I kept that appointment the outcome for my beloved pet could have been devastating. It broke my heart to leave a practice I have been going to for many years with top notch staff but the health and safety of my pet will always come first.
I have used this practice for over 25 years and feel they always give their best to each and every pet I've had over the years. Eric and his staff are special people.❤️
I dont know if the assistants do not give messages or if they are being ignored. Trying to have a consultation for my cat.

To start, it could care about the animals it pretends to care about. All it cares about is overcharging people and making Big Bucks. The exceptions to this are Dr. Prescott and Shondelle, the physical therapist. Dr. Prescott is a top notch vet who ACTUALLY loves animals and Shondelle was extremely tender and considerate with my dog Opie. (Also, Shondelle loves wolves.)
