Dr. Slocumb treated me as if I were the village idiot. He spoke down to me, used a sing song voice like talking to a child and was unable to admit that was what he was doing when I called him out. I will not see him again.

I was thrilled to hear that Dr. Slocumb was retiring at the end of 2023. Completely lost respect for him the day he told me that 'there is no definition for the word Astigmatism'. He also told me that my visit was a complete waste of time and that my doctor was going to upset me me since I could not have my pupils dilated. I would not have him examine my eyes ever again or give me advice again.

Wouldn't send my worst enemy to him. His bedside manner is lacking and to be frank- he is outright rude to his patients and treats them as if they are all unintelligent. Horrible doctor.

Dr. Slocumb is a great surgeon. I fearfully and reluctantly decided to have my cataract surgery done on my right eye. Dr. Slocumb helped put my fears aside and did a fantastic job. The surgery was absolutely painless and I could see about 95% better out of that eye as soon as I got up off the table! It's been about three weeks since the surgery and everything is well. I'm getting ready for my last post-op visit with Dr. Slocum and new eye glasses. Everybody on his staff was kind, informative and profession. Never had to wait... read more

I had two cataract surgeries a month apart....both surgeries were VERY successful. I am thoroughly pleased with Dr Slocumb and highly recommend him.

They put a cracked lense in my eye and I was blind for 2days. Went for recheck and he realized it. He apologized and said we will do it over and you won’t have to pay a penny. The next surgery went well but the lense needed to be zapped with a blue light that he never did. I got billed for the second surgery. I had to call and go to the office several times. I asked him to help me out and give me a deal with the next eye. He agreed but later denied it. They ended up sending me to collocations!

Dr. Shah is amazing. When discussing cataract surgery Dr. Shah explained my options thoroughly. I opted for the lenses for distance and reading. I could not have made a better choice for both my lenses and my surgeon. My bifocal glasses, that I have worn for years, are no longer on my night table waiting to be put on when I wake up and be worn all day. I now have 20-20 vision in both eyes, and can put my make-up on without a magnifying mirror. Exceptional care and results. Thank you Dr. Shah.

Dr. Shah is an excellent doctor. He truly cares for and understands his patients and their situations. He take his time to explain to his patients exactly what the problems are, and what they best course of action is to fix them.

AWFUL experience. Went to Cohen's fashion optical in the crystal mall in Waterford. He comes across very pushy and rude. Literally put the eye equipment touching my eye. Very condescending. Heard another patient in another room who had to bring her baby with her who was very quiet and napping. He said he didn't care because it was a distraction "Not that he didn't like kids, but he cant do his job with possibly noise and distractions. I get it, but he was completely rude and belittling.
