I was referred to Dr Kane. He did a few X-rays then suggested that I wear a boot. Did that then my foot was in more pain than before the boot. Then he sent me to another Dr He was so nonchalant and act like I was taking up his time. Never went back. Then I found a Great Foot Dr In Cedar Rapids.. I’m beginning to walk a little bit more, pain but not as much. Still walk with cane for balance. I’m feel happy for myself for changing doctors. WARNING 2 ALL! I now need a 3rd foot/ankle surgery…thanks. There are MANY others I’ve met around here/former patients & Drs who would NEVER suggest him. Kane had no idea of his own capabilities, nor did some of his staff. After I was discharged from “Mercy one,” to in home health (didn’t show up), I met with him & he made lite of my situation/looked down upon me. I ended up figuring out my own care after surgery, along with taking care of my husband & stepchild when here visiting. Was told by my PT, that another lady had the... read more

I HAVE to say: WARNING!! I now need a 3rd foot/ankle surgery as do so many others I’ve met around here & not thrilled as it’s PAINFUL. Kane had no idea of his own capabilities to prescribe pain meds after I was discharged from NOT MERCIFUL One I call them now (lies, & horrible care from some staff there). I ended up figuring out my own care after surgery (thank God I had some medical training myself) & was doing okay until someone pointed out I have a stitch left in my ankle.
