I have worked with Dr. Goldman twice in the past 10 years. I have found him to be empathetic and very invested in finding the correct prescription(s) for me. He has consulted with my therapist on numerous occasions and combined both of their observations and knowledge to make informed recommendations for my medications.I’ve recommended him to friends who have been looking for similar care.
Dr. Goldman is smart, experienced, informed, concerned, kind and funny. He makes you feel at ease, but will tell you the hard truth and help you make the changes you need to feel better. We are lucky to have this highly skilled professional in Rhinebeck. He is absolutely trustworthy.
I found Dr Goldman to be thoughtful knowledgeable and empathetic. He took a thorough history, listened to my concerns, and after research on his part made suggestions that helped me successfully navigate a physical illness and the consequent anxiety it produced. I found him to be thorough, non judgmental and extremely helpful and I highly appreciated his help and would recommend him to friends or family in need of help
I’ve never posted a review like this before but I am dumbfounded by what I am reading on this site. Dr. Goldman has been my psychiatrist for a few years now. I am no stranger to the field both as a patient and having some experience studying it in college. Dr. Goldman is a consummate professional. He is always on time, always prepared; his office is neat and comfortable. These, however, are just bonuses. His insight is simply the best I have ever encountered in the field or out of it.
Excellent! Dr. Goldman is amazing. If you are looking for an honest, smart, genuine person who will tell you the truth, then he is the real deal. I have only had the best experience with him over the past years. I highly recommend him

Condescending. Ended appointment early when he became frustrated with my symptoms. High prices, inexplicably charged me $300 at the start of our first appointment before any therapy. Did not read the patient history I prepared, yet criticized its organizational scheme. Accused me of concealing symptoms and making his job harder. Ignored email asking to confirm an appointment (I get minor amnesia) and later sarcastically acknowledged it. A month wasted, increased flashbacks, no treatment given.
Unprepared, condescending, mediocre listener at best.
