We went to Romano's Mac Grill last Sat.night. 10/29/11 – It was really busy and there were several Birthday dinners. The Italian dinners were excellent. There were 4 of us and we all thought the service was great too. The waitress was very pleasant and never rushed us. It was 2 of our parties Birthdays and they were served 2 luscious desserts without charge and 2 people with excellent voices sang Happy Birthday in Italian for them. Don't go there! – The food was nasty and plates dirty, cooks were way backed up.. I would not recommend it to anyone not worth the money.

zip tie in food = two lost teeth – Weds. 9-2-09 I ordered food to go from the Elk Grove Romanos Macaroni Grill. In one of the dishes was the business end of a nylon zip tie that sliced through my gums and cracked two molars and dislodged two crowns. Nice people but they sure should be more carefull. My crab stuffed mushrooms now have cost me $5,000 plus the fun of the dentist chair!

Garbage Found In Food – Monday, August 6th, I took my elderly mother and my daughter out to dinner to the Macaroni Grill in Elk Grove, CA. We all three ordered the same meal (Shrimp Portofino). I found an old cigarette butt, leaves, dirt and garbage in all three of our meals. I have launched a compaint with the County Health Dept and have also contacted and reported this to Macaroni Grill's corporate office. Good food, bad service – The food is generally really good at the Macaroni grill. There's usually a long wait, so if you want to make reservations they require that you call in 1 hour ahead, otherwise you have to put your name in and wait. The last time I went, our server was horrible. Although he was timely and polite, it was as though no one ever trained him. We didn't get any small plates for our bread or appetizers so we had to eat it over the paper tablecloth. Every piece of silverware that he brought out to us was dirt... read more

My Favorite Italian – I love everything about this restaurant. The food is always great, starting with the bread. There is usually a wait, but it is worth it. The furnishings are beautiful, good atmosphere, nice Italian music playing in the background. I haven't had a dish there yet that I didn't like. Pizza, Ravioli, lasagne, pasta, meats, sauces, desserts are all sooo good. If you love Italian food, you can't go wrong here.
