Great Italian Bread I lived in Endicott for a number of years (home/birthplace of the spiedie - NOT nearby Binghamton). I remember many of Sundays stopping at Jim Roma's on Nanticoke for fresh, warm Italian bread and then home to make our own version of a sub sandwich. Great bread and good sheet pizza. Roma's Italian has great sandwhiches!!! I love Roma's. The staff is wonderful. Every time I walk in there, they greet me by name. They make conversation and make me feel very welcome. I am currently pregnant and they ask every time how I am feeling, how things are going and truly have great hospitality. I really make me feel like a valued guest and not just another transaction. Authentic! Chicken parmigiana sandwich is sooo good! This place is always really busy during lunch hour as all of the locals eat there (including the high school students!). The price is average for the area (about 7 dollars), but the food is outstanding. I have never gotten anything there that wasn't good. The downfall to this restaurant is there hours. They close very early during the week, around 4. Parking is limited, so if you are withing walking distance you need to walk there.
Great Pizza! this is one of our favorite places. It's great atmosphere for kids, lunch during the week or whatever. We've even done takeout. the pizza is a great value and is NY style. If you want to try another Binghamton, NY specialty - try a speedie sandwich.
The best place no one knows about. This place is between the tracks and across from the train station. They have the best pizza. The lunch time pizza special is a great deal. 2 slices and a drink for $5.00; add $.75 for a topping. These aren't the ordinary slices; they are 4" by 8" each with a thick crust.
Great place Roma's is a great place for everyone. The food is out this world, and the portions are just right. The bread is fresh and soft. Also with there prices its a steal.
