He's an all around down to earth, friendly, and very good doctor to me.
I've been a patient of Dr. Maldonado for 10 years. He is a caring and straightforward professional. The Lab nurse is a sweetheart and is a pro at collecting bloodwork. They are closed during lunch hour so keep that in mind when scheduling.
He knows how to navigate between useful and non-useful information, and is then proactive with that result. He doesn't expect his patient to already know the answer, can sound terse but is actually quite sympathetic. Will be upset when someday he retires or I move away.
My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Maldonado for 15 years. He is caring and interested in us. Couldn't ask for a better doctor. I consider him to be family.
I was a patient for the last several years but finally grew tired of a front office that was lacking the customer service skillsets that I value. From multiple billing errors to lapsing prescriptions, I found it "difficult" to just get past the front office incompetence. I initially liked the thought of having his own lab for time savings, however those records are not available electronically to view so its a bit like going to the doctor on the Flinstones. While I found that Dr. Maldonado was likeable and trustworthy, regre... read more
I moved into the area about 2 years ago and needed a new PCP. I saw Dr. Maldonado's office nearby, read mostly great reviews, and he was in-network so I switched to him. The only thing I enjoyed was how straight forward Dr. Maldonado was during certain visits, but most times it felt rushed . There was no consistency in how I was treated when I visited the office. Although bedside manners may seem like a small factor to count in, it's hard to get comfortable to talk about your medical conditions when you feel you aren't welco... read more
I simply do not feel like the employees of this office want to work or put the patient's health first. The staff is brusk and indifferent on the best days and downright rude and belligerent on the worst days, the office closes at the drop of a hat, the physicians are constantly out of the office, and there is zero effort to accommodate patients' schedules. I do like Dr. Maldonado personally, and I regret that we will have to find a new physician, but the lack of effort or caring by office staff is intolerable.
FINALLY!!! I have found a Dr. in Houston that puts his patients first!!!
I got my husband, who hates doctors, to go to Dr. Maldonado because he is THAT good. My husband adores him now too. Maldonado spends quality time with his patients and he makes sure I understand everything he's said before he leaves the room. I've been going to Maldonado for almost ten years and I am sad that I am moving away and will eventually have to switch doctors. My husband and I actually had a conversation about whether or not we could still see him even if we live in another state.
