Baby NOT WELCOME???? – We use to go eat at this restaurant often, before the baby, but now I felt so disgraceful from their unwelcoming sign ?Warning about kids?. They point and read the sign to me, and told me because of the baby, they need to put us on the side table. Me and my husband were extremely disappointed the way they treat their customer with kids, we just walk out! We come to pay to eat an meals, not to have someone
AVOID~ Children Unfriendly~ No Service – I used to love this place and recommended to everyone until last night. When I went in the door last night, I saw this huge new sign that basically says "Control your kids. If they cry or make a fuss, they need to leave". They had another sign above the sushi bar saying the same thing. When I walked in the door with my two 19-months twin toddlers, the waitress had to repeat the same thing before seating our party. I was like ok...I was warned 3 times before I even sat down. I understa... read more
Eat and Leave Sushi – Too many restrictions. They would not let us sit at the bar because there were five of us. There is a big sign inside to take your kids out if they get loud!!! Small place and made even smaller because of the oversized tables that sits up to eight people - place gets full with only 10 customers sitted separately among all the tables. Number one worst service and a sushi chef that you cannot talk to and bosses his employees around like he owns them. Me and my friends got a little loud at one point and th... read more
If you like great fish, come here! – I actually came here from Pasadena just to try the place out. My girlfriend recommended it highly, and she was right. I can't comment on rolls here as I didn't try any, but if you're more the Sashimi-aficionado, this is a great place. The fish is very fresh, well selected, and *very* generous (in fact, maybe a bit too much). The prices are more than reasonable, and, when I went there, they had Echigo Koshihikari beer, which was a delight with the sashimi.
DON'T GO HERE! – Please do not waste your money here. I'm new to the area, and I'm not a sushi novice. Went here based on the other reviews. Sorry I did. Small portions, trust me. Sushi--the rice portion is smaller, making the fish seem bigger. Sashimi pieces are small as well. Rolls are overpriced and portions are not worth it. Not to mention flavorless. Apathetic service, no hello, no goodbye. Was actually told that they couldn't make a roll spicy. What is that about? Everybody makes a roll spicy if requested! However, I g... read more
They give you big pieces of fish. – This place is so worth it. The fish is fresh and very flavorful. I didn't detect a hint of fishiness in anything I ordered. They give you huge pieces of fish for your sushi. Larger than your usual sushi place. I didn't order any combination, but those seem like the better deals. The place is small, so expect a short wait. We went on a Sunday night at around 8PM and waited maybe about 10 minutes
One of my all time favorite Japanese restaurants!! – One of my favorite japanese restaurants. It looks small, but the service is awesome and the food is super fresh. The chefs are japanese and they are very specific with the fish they serve. One time I ordered the Uni, and the manager came over and went as far as to explain how the Uni isn't as sweet that day as other days due to something, and made sure I still wanted that order. I love this place and I always take my friends here!
Great sushis at reasonable prices – The service is fast and friendly, though it can be crowded Thursday through Saturday evenings. But I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes. There's wide selection of items on the menu. The food is always fresh. I highly recommend the sweet shrimp, langistino rolls and spicy tuna rolls. The prices are very good considering how big portions their items are.
worth it the wait/money everytime! – the best japanese restaurant in the area. the prices are affordable with huge portion of fish on top of nigiri! the size of unagi nigiri is like three times as the big as the normal nigiri we usually eat. The lobster nigiri is the best. Try the fish collar, limited availability and only one order per table. The amaebi nigiri is great too, and you get to choose whether you want the shrimp head in the miso soup or deep fried.
