I had surgery done 5 years ago with Dr Yen, he explained everything very well and had a good sense of humor on top of it. My foot has healed well over time, and I am very satisfied with the results.
My son and I have been going to doctor Yen for years. He is always cordial and most importantly has taken care of any problem we have had from ingrown nails to plantar fasciitis. Doctor Yens guidance has always been solid.
Nice person, but way too busy to be accepting new patients. He had no appointments available for the followup visit that he requested.
Dr. Yen performed a bunion surgery on me several years ago. I knew something was wrong, and returned, because my big toe was not straight and it felt odd. He told me "only amateurs make it straight." So years later, my whole foot is bending and the bunion angle is returning. Lots of pressure from muscle/ligament pulling. I had my and other foot done by Dr. Doug Hale in Seattle and it is perfect. Dr. Hale told me Dr. Yen took too much bone off and there is nothing he can do to fix it.
Hard to get hold of the office. Dr is good, but does not want to hear.
