We had a wonderful stay at Roadway Inn. Sean’s customer service was exceptional. He was incredibly caring, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. His warm and welcoming attitude made our stay even more enjoyable. An absolute gem! It was WAY more than we expected for a roadside motel! Room was modern, clean and linens were fresh and cozy. Bed was super comfy. Quiet surroundings with a large pond full of ducks and even a tiny covered bridge! Breakfast was slightly understaffed but the server made an incredible attempt to make sure everyone had fresh, hot food. Every staff member we met was welcoming and lovely. For the price……EXCEPTIONAL!!!! We would definitely stay again!
From the bottom up, location is south of anywhere. It's not far to amenities, but there is nothing around. Service was fine. Check in was painless, and the breakfast foods were sub'd in seamlessly. However the rooms... Dated, very few power outlets. The sliding "garden" door barely latches. In the bathroom, the towel rack is hanging literally by a screw thread on both sides, there's what appears to be a blood stain underneath it, neighboured by a nice chunk taken out of the wall. Absolutely THE worst hotel experience ever! We were enroute to a military veterans rally and booked here 5 months prior. After traveling almost 600kms this day, we finally arrive just before 8pm. The lot of us go to check in, none of our rooms were available. All the rooms were gone. No rooms left anywhere in the city, and they didn't really care a whole and just kept saying they were all booked, there's nothing we could do, and we had no place to go.
