My car broke down outside Baker City and I needed lodging. The front desk manager was fabulous. Not only did she set me up with a nicer room, she bent over backwards to make sure that I found a vehicle to rent so I could get back on the road, including arranging for her daughter and the daughter's boyfriend to drive me to La Grande 45 minutes away to rent a U-Haul truck for my bikes and gear (there are no car rentals within 100 miles). It was small town hospitality at its finest. Thank you all so much!!!
It's not a bad place, have seen worse. Usually pretty quiet.
