I was brought to Rockyview General Hospital following a suicide attempt and regained consciousness in the Emergency Department after being sedated. I woke up confused, disoriented, terrified, and unaware of where I was. Instead of being met with compassion, I was physically restrained and treated as though I were a threat rather than a patient in crisis. I was once choking on steak and brought to peter lougheed hospital, the ems operators stated they would never take patient to rockyview or the south hospital. "If you want to live, you dont go there, people go to those hospitals to die" After my mom was admitted for mobility issues and was shoved in the mental health ward i began to understand why. Then when checking her out. The cleaning staff stole a pair of A12 headphones worth over $300. Never to be seen again, why? Because hospital staff refused to look for it
Excellent experience at Rocky View Hospital Maternity Unit where I delivered my first child. Everyone was super attentive and because of the amazing staff going the extra mile, I avoided a C-section, my baby was not admitted to NICU and I learned how to effectively build up my milk supply as well as do basic baby care while 3 days of recovery. I had a very bad experience at this hospital. Their doctors are extremely negligent and uncaring, and the nurses act like doctors, doing everything . This caused me problems while I was giving birth to my son. The doctors and nurses are unserious and disregard people's lives. I do not recommend it.
I have had a number of visits to the Rocky ER and have always received prompt and competent medical attention.
