Two Rocky Top technicians/installers, Zach and MJ, worked all day replacing our upstairs a/c unit. Besides working outside, they also went into the attic via pulldown from the ceiling where the temperatures were well above 140 degrees to replace equipment. They were knowledgeable, professional, courteous and answered our questions and explained what the process was going to be before beginning and afterwards. I just want to tell you about how pleased I am with this company. My old A/C needed replacement, and I called Rocky Top HVAC and a service rep came that afternoon. My old unit needed replacement, and a new unit was ordered and installed 2 days later. The men who did the installation work, Jay, Trent, and Garrett were friendly, and Excellent technicians. I would strongly encourage anyone considering Rock Top HVAC to think carefully before allowing their technicians into their home. I want to be clear that I have encountered some very good technicians through this company, and I have appreciated the work that some of them have provided. However, my overall experience has left me with serious concerns about the company’s hiring and screening practices. Kenny and Jay did an awesome job installing new ductwork in our house today. They were both very professional and got the job done very quickly. I would highly recommend them. The only recommendation I would offer to Rocky Top is that there needs to be better communication between the contract dept and the install dept. I've had two install teams come out that didn't have the correct materials to complete the job and had delays waiting on the parts.
