This place used to be amazing, with nice people-- but something has changed significantly in the past two years. After my last visit, I will never go back. The women who work here are just plain mean, through and through. Sorry, but I wanted to look at antiques-- not listen to angry old folks be racist, cruel, and every kind of phobic on the planet and then openly attack their own vendors behind their backs for not being white, or Republican enough. They really are a cool, well organized store. Although the staff I feel automatically think you're trying to steal and follow you and it makes me feel really uncomfortable. Like I wouldn't steal from a place that is rented out to individual who just display personal items for sale. That's wrong.

So I've been collecting antiques for over 30 years. When my family and I walked in, I felt instantly judged. I know my wife and I are gen x and look younger than we do. My two young sons, have been raised around antiques and flea markets... So they know what to touch and what not to touch. I ran a chocolate store in Westport, CT back in the 90s and that's where I learned never judge to a book by its cover. So many well off customers and celebrities didn't "look" they way you thought they'd be. I do give props to the one lady... read more
